Sept 09, Colombo: Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing has signed an agreement with Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) to provide expert services for grading foreign employment agencies.
The Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Ministry has taken measures to grade all foreign employment agencies, not only the local recruitment agencies but also their foreign counterparts according to their performances.
The SLBFE says that the aim of hiring a private and independent body in grading the foreign employment agencies is to guarantee the transparency in the process.
A Memorandum of Understanding was inked by Amal Senadhilankara, the Director General of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment and the Executive Director/CEO of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing Sanath Senanayake.
The Minister of Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Dilan Perera said that the grading programme aims to enhance the efficiency of the foreign employment agencies. He said that the agencies that provide better services to the employees will be benefited.
