Oct 26, Colombo: The Executive Committee of Sri Lanka's cricket authority, Sri Lanka Cricket, has decided to appreciate the national coaches with a pay raise.
The SLC Friday announced that it has decided at the Executive Committee Meeting held Thursday to enhance the salaries of the Sri Lankan National Coaching Department staff who have "performed and worked tirelessly throughout the year" at the national training center developing the current and future national players of Sri Lanka Cricket.
"The Sri Lankan coaches have been recognized for their commitment and effort shown in bringing the National Team to be the world's best in the T 20 format and joint 3rd in the ODI format and taking the National Team for several World Cup Finals," the SLC said in a statement.
These salary increments will retroactively be effective from of 1st October 2013.
The Executive Committee has also decided to review the salaries of the support staff in the coming months.
Salaries of all other category Employees of SLC will be reviewed after finalizing the corporate plan of SLC by December 2013, the SLC said.
