Oct 13, Colombo: Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) announced that the Korean Language Proficiency Test for the applicants for employment in Korea would be held on October 19 and 20 in Colombo.
The examination will be held this year for the 11th time. It will be held in six centers in Colombo.
This year 20,536 candidates have applied for the Korean language proficiency examination.
Passing the Korean Language Proficiency Test is the basic qualification for recruitment of Sri Lankan youth seeking jobs in Korea. The jobs are offered via Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau.
This examination provides pre-qualifications for the individuals who wish to migrate to South Korea for employment in skilled and semi-skilled categories.
This year opportunities are available only in the production, fisheries and construction trades, the SLFEB says.
The results will be issued on November 01 and the cut off mark which is above 80 out of 200 will be announced later by the Korean Human Resources Department.
