Oct 08, Colombo: A coordinating secretary of a controversial Sri Lankan Minister has been abducted in the Sri Lankan capital by unknown persons, Sri Lanka police said.
K.D. Udayasiri coordinating secretary of the Minister of Public Relations Mervyn Silva has been abducted by unidentified assailants at the Mccallum Road in Colombo, the Police headquarters said.
The SUV vehicle, the victim was driving was found abandoned at the location and the police had retrieved two mobile phones used by the victim from the vehicle.
The Minister who is known for his notoriety is having a tough time lately and still no arrests have been made regarding the recent assault against his son Malaka Silva.
Silva recently earned the wrath of the UN Human Right Commissioner Navi Pillay by proposing marriage to her to teach her about the country.
