Oct 04, Colombo: Five new Ambassadors and two High Commissioners taking assignments in Sri Lanka presented their credentials to President Mahinda Rajapaksa today (October 04) at a ceremony held in the President's Office at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.
The new diplomats assuming duties were, Ambassador of Qatar Rashid Bin Shafea Saeed Shafea Al Fahaida, Ambassador of Myanmar Min Thein Zan, Ambassador of the European Union David Daly, Ambassador of France Jean Paul Monachau, Ambassador of Egypt Mahamoud Hisham Mohamed Assran, High Commissioner Zambia Brig. Gen. Patrick Rumedyo Tembo (Rtd) and High Commissioner of Lesotho Bothata Tsikoane.
Seen here is the Ambassador of the European Union David Daly presenting credentials to the President.
Deputy Minister of External Affairs Neomal Fernando and Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga were also present at the event.
