* Bus-van collision in Sri Lanka kills five, injures 15

Nov 17, Kandy: Five people including two children were killed when a van collided with a private bus at Thalathuoya in Kandy in Sri Lanka's Central Province Sunday morning.

Police spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said three women, a boy and a girl were among the dead and at least another 15 people were injured.

The injured have been admitted to the Kandy Hospital.

According to the police the driver of the van has lost control due to excessive speed and collided with the bus.

Thalathuoya Police are conducting further investigations.
