Nov 02, Colombo: Following a meeting on Friday, the seniors of Sri Lanka's main opposition United National Party (UNP) will meet again on Monday (4) to further discuss party reforms.
UNP Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe and UNP MPs Karu Jayasuriya and Sajith Premadasa have discussed the proposed party reforms for about one hour on Friday and they will discuss the legal formalities related to the proposed reforms at the Monday meeting.
The three party seniors have also discussed the transferring powers to the proposed leadership council that is likely to be headed by Jayasuriya.
The outcome of the discussion between Wickremasinghe, Jayasuriya and Premadasa will be presented to the UNP Working Committee that will also meet on Monday evening.
The Working Committee will make the final decision on the proposed party reforms that would be presented by Wickremasinghe, Jayasuriya and Premadasa.
