* Pakistan awards higher education scholarships to Sri Lankan students

Dec 24, Colombo: The Government of Pakistan has awarded fully funded higher professional education scholarships to five Sri Lankan students in Medicine and Dentistry in top Pakistani Medical Schools under the Higher Education Scholarship Programme for 2013.

The High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka Major General (Retd.) Qasim Qureshi met the selected students at the High Commission of Pakistan and congratulated them on their selection for higher education in Pakistan.

In addition to the Higher Education Scholarships, every year Government of Pakistan awards Jinnah Educational Scholarships to 150 Sri Lankan students of GCE O/L and A/L.

Besides offering fully funded scholarships in Medicine and Dentistry, the Government of Pakistan also awards Higher Education Scholarships in Engineering and Pharmacy to the Sri Lankan Students.
