* Sri Lanka Central Bank Directors' Symposium tomorrow

Dec 10, Colombo: The Central Bank of Sri Lanka will hold its annual Bank Directors' Symposium on Wednesday, December 11.

Over 200 Directors and Chief Executive Officers of 24 licensed commercial banks and 9 licensed specialized banks are expected to attend the symposium.

This is the sixth consecutive symposium and this year's theme will be "Beyond a Ten Trillion Banking Sector". Governor of the Central Bank Ajith Nivard Cabraal will deliver the keynote address.

The symposium is to be held with a view to updating and sharing the new developments in the economy including the regulatory environment in order to strengthen banks' resilience to meet upcoming challenges and to facilitate reshaping their business models by exploring new opportunities and keeping pace with growing economic needs of the country, the Central Bank said.

The symposium will also discuss Building resilience in the Banking Sector; Changing role of a Bank Director; Insights to achieving Business Excellence; and Expansion and Stability: a Balancing Act.
