* Sri Lankan youth movement to hold protest march in Colombo tomorrow to win 11 demands

Dec 10, Colombo: A youth movement in Sri Lanka called the Voice for Youth has organized a protest march in Colombo tomorrow (11) to win 11 demands to address issues faced by the youth in the country.

The organization has said that the youth in the country are faced with many unresolved issues and the government has made many promises to the youth that are yet to be fulfilled.

Prior to the presentation of the 2014 Budget by the government, several youth organizations submitted proposals that would address issued faced by the youth in the country.

The Voice for Youth organization has stated that among its demands are, the payment of the allowance promised by the government for the unemployed, not to allow casinos, drugs and crime, set up new state universities to provide opportunities for students and allocate 6 percent of the GDP from the budget for the education sector.
