Aug 27, Colombo: Sri Lanka's Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) opened its newest branch in the Ratnapura town on Monday aiming to cater to the potential investors in the Sabaragamuwa Province.
"The Branch will provide investors from the Sabaragamuwa Province, education and investment opportunities in shares and corporate debt listed on the CSE," the CSE said in a release yesterday.
It will conduct educational programmes and exhibitions for students from schools and higher educational institutions in the Province, the CSE said.
The Ratnapura branch is CSE's 7th branch in the island. The CSE branch network opened its first branch in Matara in 1999. It has branch offices in Kandy, Kurunegala, Negombo, Jaffna and Anuradhapura.
"The CSE Branches will continue to offer greater accessibility, education and awareness on investing in listed shares and corporate debt for the benefit of retail investors in the Provinces," the statement further said.
