Aug 25, Colombo: Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa accompanied by a business delegation left for Republic of Belarus this morning on a three-fay official visit, the President's Media Unit said.
During his three-day tour, President Rajapaksa is expected to hold bilateral discussions with his Belarusian counterpart President Alexander Lukashenko and Prime Minister Prof. Mikhail Myasnikovich.
The President will also hold discussions with the Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Anatoly Rubinov and the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Belarus National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko.
President Rajapaksa and the business delegation will attend the Belarus-Sri Lanka business forum and a Business to Business (B2B) meeting on Monday (August 26).
In addition to the political engagements, President Rajapaksa will also attend Belarus-Sri Lanka tourism forum in Minsk on 27 August and visit an automobile plant in the capital city of Minsk.
