* Sri Lanka President opens new office complex of the Government Analyst's Department

May 10, Colombo: Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa Friday opened the new laboratory and office complex of the Government Analyst's Department in Pelawatta in Battaramulla.

The new six- storied laboratory and office complex is equipped with modern facilities including a state-of-the-art DNA lab.

The 10,200 square feet complex built at a cost of Rs. 1.4 billion is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to provide more efficient laboratory services to law enforcement agencies.

Justice Minister Rauf Hakeem, Attorney General Palitha Fernando, Government Analyst T.R.N.N. Liyanarachchi and Secretary to the Ministry of Justice Kamalani De Silva were also present at the occasion.
