* Henley-Putnam University Webinar explores Sri Lanka's LTTE terror

Mar 21, Santa Clara, CA: A Webinar, hosted by the Henley-Putnam University, a leading educational institution in the field of Strategic Security in the U.S., will explore Sri Lanka's Tamil Tiger Terrorist group, Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam's terror reign in Sri Lanka.

Henley-Putnam Professor Praveen Abhayaratne, an expert on WMD terrorism and terrorist tactics, will present "The LTTE Armory of Terror - A Glimpse of Their Tactics in Context" at the Webinar on Thursday March 28th, 2013 at 1:00 PM, EDT.

During the webinar, Professor Abhayaratne will provide an in-depth overview of the conflict surrounding the LTTE, including the role of terrorism in the conflict, terrorism as strategy, the LTTE's theater of war and its many fronts - political, diplomatic, financial, land, sea, and air.

LTTE tactics by weapon -from knives to purpose-built sea craft, including selected incidents and images, Systematic terror - The LTTE's strategy of terror and the Lessons for the global war on terror - applicable observations from the defeat of the LTTE are also among topic hay will be explored.

The webinar is open to the public and completely free of charge. Those who are interested in participating in the webinar need registration.

Professor Abhayaratne is a researcher at the Center for Terrorism and Intelligence Studies. He specializes in security-related information collection from open-sources, research and analysis, and information compilation and dissemination.
