Mar 13, Colombo: A large contingent of 27 hospital and medical equipment manufacturing companies from India are participating in the "Medicare 2013 - National Healthcare Exhibition" being held from 13-15 March 2013 at the BMICH in Colombo.

The National Healthcare Exhibition is organized by Department of Health Western Province, Sri Lanka under the umbrella of National Healthcare Exhibition. The event would provide a unique opportunity to the Sri Lankan medical fraternity, doctors and firms dealing in hospital equipment and instruments to visit the Indian companies participating in the exhibition and take benefit of their presence in Colombo by having one-to-one discussion and making new business contacts, the Indian High Commission in Colombo said in a release Wednesday.

Several of the Indian exhibitors would be displaying samples of a variety of medical equipment and instruments manufactured in India.

Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India, the leading industry body focusing on pharma exports from India, is organizing iPHEX 2013 - the largest exhibition of Indian pharmaceutical products and technologies in Mumbai from 24-26 April 2013 and the Sri Lankan healthcare providers and companies can benefit by participating in iPHEX 2013, the High Commission further said.
