Mar 11, Colombo: Sri Lanka police have launched an investigation into the murder of a Philippine national onboard a ship anchored in the Colombo Port, the police said.
According to Colombo Harbor Police, a Philippine national was found killed in a Taiwan ship anchored in the Colombo Port on Monday, and the police are on a manhunt to arrest six other Filipinos who were suspected of the killing.
The Police believe the killing had taken place during a dispute between the sailors. Reportedly the ship's crew had been engaged in a severe dispute and the police believe the suspects stabbed the 37-year-old victim during the dispute.
The suspects have fled the ship and the Police have lunched the manhunt to arrest them.
