Mar 06, Colombo: A women's organization in Sri Lanka has commenced a campaign to collect signatures on a banner calling for a society with love.

The Free Women's Movement has prepared a massive banner titled "A Society With Love" and is currently gathering signatures for it.

The signature campaign is to continue till International Women's Day that falls on Friday (March 08) with the aim of collecting as many signatures as possible.

A member from the organization said the campaign is aimed at promoting a society free of hatred, violence and oppression and promotes respect and love.

The organization has stated that several other events have been organized to mark Women's Day.
