Mar 05, Colombo: Sri Lanka's cricket authority, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said today that its Executive Committee has decided to conduct an inquiry into national cricketer Lasith Malinga's behavior.
The SLC said the Executive Committee has directed the Chief Executive Officer of SLC Ajit Jayasekara to conduct an inquiry into the two incidents pertaining to Lasith Malinga and the media personnel that took place outside SLC headquarters.
Malinga who took part in the meetings with the Sri Lanka Cricket officials to discuss the payments for the 23 players, has responded angrily and irresponsibly when media raised questions outside the SLC headquarters after the meetings.
The Executive Committee has requested the CEO to submit a report on the inquiry.
