Jan 30, Colombo: A governing party Member of Parliament in Sri Lanka has expressed his dissatisfaction at the Cabinet reshuffle that was carried out by the President on the 28th.
United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) parliamentarian from the Galle District, Nishantha Mutuhettigama has told the media that he was unhappy with the Cabinet reshuffle as it had failed to do justice to the people of the Galle District.
He has explained that there had not been any ministerial appointments from the Galle District.
According to Mutuhettigama, the President needs to pay attention to the matter and the people of Galle District must be given a minister from their area.
Mutuhettigama along with four other governing party MPs who had polled the highest preferential votes in their respective districts at the last general election had previously written to the President requesting to be appointed as deputy ministers in the government.
