* Hackers attack Sri Lanka Port Authority site
Tue, Jan 22, 2013, 09:08 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Jan 22, Colombo: A hacker using the online moniker Davy Jones has hacked into the official website of Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA.lk) and uploaded a defacement page in the site, E Hacking News reported.

The hacker hasn't defaced the main page of the SLPA, the state-run multi-port operator for all maritime services in the region. Instead he has simply uploaded a webpage to the "admin" folder according to EHN.

However, the SLPA has removed the hacker's webpage inserted into its website.

The hacker has recently breached the two famous Sri Lankan TV Channel websites Rupavahini TV and One SriLanka and the Bureau of Foreign Employment site.

A hacker, known as Game Over recently hacked and defaced the official website of Sri Lanka' Media Center for National Security (MCNS).

The hacker has not only defaced the site at nationalsecurity.lk, but redirected it to another site and gained access to the server, taking away and leaking hundreds of login information. Hacker attacks on Sri Lanka's government websites have been increased lately.
