Feb 27, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa has scheduled to visit the Ministry of Higher Education on March 01 to review its progress and future plans.
All the Vice Chancellors and the heads of the higher education institutes have been called on to the Ministry of Higher Education to report the progress of their respective institutes.
The senior officials of the Ministry of Higher Education are also to participate in the discussion with the President.
This is another step of President Mahinda Rajapaksa to personally review the progress of development plans of the government at the ministry level.
Review meetings are aimed at ensuring that all ministries achieve their development goals according to the medium range concept plan of the Mahinda Chintana manifesto for 2013-2015 and the first such meeting was held on February 18 at the Education Ministry.
