* Sri Lankan ministers fail to provide answers to legislators' queries
Sat, Feb 23, 2013, 12:14 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Feb 23, Colombo: Speaker of Sri Lanka parliament Chamal Rajapaksa said in parliament yesterday that efforts will be taken to provide answers to the legislators' questions to the ministers in a timely fashion.

The Speaker made this promise Friday (22) in response to an appeal from the United National Party (UNP) Kurunegala district MP Dayasiri Jayasekara in parliament.

MP Jayasekara pointed out to the House that although he had raised 11 questions this week from the Ministers, none of them had been answered.

The Speaker promised to discuss the matter at the meeting of the party leaders and to provide a fair solution.
