Feb 21, Colombo: The Sri Lankan government is currently engaged in introducing changes to the country's education system, Education Minister Bandula Gunawardena told parliament recently.
According to the Minister, one of the changes that will be introduced is to make the examinations student friendly. The Examinations Department has already drafted a module to make general examinations more student- friendly, the Minister told parliament.
He said a statement would be made in parliament shortly on the measures taken by the Examinations Department in introducing reforms to the country's examination structure.
According to Gunawardena, President Mahinda Rajapaksa has been briefed on the steps being taken during a meeting the President had with officials at the Education Ministry.
