Feb 01, Colombo: Two new ambassadors and one new high commissioner to Sri Lanka presented their credentials to President Mahinda Rajapaksa today at a ceremony held in the President's Office at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.
The new diplomats assuming duties were, Ambassador of Turkey Iskender Kemal, Ambassador of Spain accredited to Sri Lanka (Resident in New Delhi) Gustavo Manuel de Aristegui Y. San Román and High Commissioner of Fiji accredited to Sri Lanka (Resident in New Delhi).
Minister of External Affairs, Prof. G.L. Peiris, Secretary of External Affairs Ministry Karunaratne Amunugama, Secretary to the President, Lalith Weeratunga, and President's Chief of Staff Gamini Senarath were also present on the occasion.
