* State to open one-stop shopping center for building materials in Sri Lanka

Nov 19, Colombo: Sri Lanka Minister of Construction, Engineering Services and Common Amenities Wimal Weerawansa said that a one-stop shopping center for all the building materials would be established.

The establishment named as C City is to be located in Peliyagoda in the outskirts of the Colombo city.

All building material of good quality will be available in this center at competitive wholesale prices.

The Minister said that the land adjoining this center will have an international exhibition center for the construction industry.

The C City center will be owned and operated by the State Engineering Corporation. The sales outlets there will be owned by the private sector.
