Jan 15, Colombo: Sri Lanka's main opposition United National Party (UNP) is to appoint members to key party positions on the 28th.
UNP sources said that the party's main decision making body, the Working Committee, is to meet on the 28th to decide on the appointments.
The Working Committee was initially scheduled to meet on the 10th, but had postponed the meeting due to the debate on the impeachment of the Chief Justice in parliament.
The Working Committee on the 28th is to decide on five key positions in the party including deputy leader, assistant leader and national organizer.
"Until the new appointments are made, the positions will remain vacant," UNP sources said.
