Jan 12, Colombo: Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa today will declare open the Urban Wetland Park, newly established the Urban Development Authority at Nawala Road, Nugegoda in the outskirts of Sri Lankan capital city, Colombo.
The park has been established in a five acre land of the Urban Development Authority. It comprises places for resting, walkways and exercising space, children's parks, ponds and lush greenery.
The landscaping unit of the Urban Development Authority has spent Rs. 81.6 million for the construction of the Urban Wetland Park.
Personnel of the Army, Navy and Civil Defence have participated in the design and construction of the park.
