Jan 10, Colombo: Exhibitors from over 21 different countries will participate in Sri Lanka's annual higher education and careers expo, EDEX this year, the organizers announced.
The 10th consecutive EDEX 2013 will be held from January 18-20 at the BMICH in Colombo and at Kandy City Centre, in Kandy on January 25 and 26.
According to the organizers, exhibitors from over 21 different countries representing over 250 universities will occupy more than 300 stalls. Participants represent highly ranked universities from North America, Europe, Russia, China, Japan, SAARC Region, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.
Many local tertiary educational, professional, vocational and technical training institutes from both government and private sectors will also participate in the Expo offering many options to gain advanced knowledge and enhanced skills for the youth.
EDEX Expo will also offer services of many career guidance counselors at both Colombo and Kandy to assist and guide the attendees in choosing careers.
EDEX Expo 2013 is endorsed by the Presidential Secretariat, Ministries of Education, Higher Education, Youth Affairs and Skills Development, Environment and Labor and Labor Relations.
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC), Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA), and Sri Lanka Association of Software and Service Companies (SLASSCOM) are strategic partners.
