Dec 30, Colombo: Sri Lanka's main opposition United National Party (UNP) will commence a drive from next month to recruit new members to the party.
UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake said the party had decided to increase its membership by two million and the recruitment and registration of new members to the party would commence from January 7th.
The recruitment drive is to be carried out at district level and would commence from the Galle District.
Following the recruitment drive, the registration of the new members is to take place from February 2nd to the 4th.
