Dec 28, Colombo: The Sri Lankan government will issue Treasury bills for 20 billion rupees (US$ 157 million) through an auction on 2nd January, 2013, the Central Bank announced today.
The T-bills will be offered in 3 maturities - Rs 2 billion of 3-month, Rs. 6 billion of 6-month and Rs. 12 billion of 12-month. The minimum amount of a bid is Rs. 5 million and multiples of Rs. 1 million onwards. The issues will be settled on 4th January.
Bids are invited from the Primary Dealers in Government Securities and should be made only through the electronic bidding facility provided by the Central Bank.
