Dec 07, Colombo: Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) will lease out a portion of its land at the Galle Port, to build a Yacht / Leisure Craft repair and a ship building facility.

M/s Sea Gulf (Pvt) Ltd. has forwarded an unsolicited proposal to build the Yacht/Leisure Craft lifting facility and the barge mounted Yacht/Leisure craft repair facility at the Galle Port.

The company will get the SLPA on a 30-year lease to build the facility

The Cabinet of ministers has granted approval for the SLPA to sign the business agreement with the Sea Gulf Shipyard (Pvt) Ltd.

Government Information Department said the President Mahinda Rajapaksa, as the Minister of Ports and Highways forwarded he proposal to the Cabinet.
