Dec 01, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa will declare open a new construction machinery training school tomorrow, December 02.

The construction machinery training school was built under a concept of President Rajapaksa in a modernized mechanical workshop of the state-owned Maganeguma Construction Machinery Company in Kundasale in Kandy district.

The Chairman of the Maganeguma Construction Machinery Company Kingsley Ranawaka said the objective of the facility is to provide training on operating construction machinery such as motor graders and excavators. Operators of such machinery are in great demand both locally and internationally, he added.

The Kundasale training school will be the first of a chain of such construction machinery training schools, the Chairman said.
