Sept 28, Paris: "Sri Lanka in Bloom" an international photographic exhibition depicting Sri Lanka's experience in defeating terrorism, ongoing development activities in North and East and the beauty of Sri Lanka was held in Sri Lanka Embassy premises in Paris on Friday.
The exhibition has drawn a large number of UNESCO officials and citizens, the organizers said.
Sri Lanka's Ambassador to France Dr. Dayan Jayathilake inaugurated today's exhibition.
The exhibition has been organized by the President's Media Unit to convey Sri Lanka's post-conflict awakening after government forces defeated the three-decade long terrorism in May 2009.
The exhibition will also be held tomorrow at No. 17, Rue Delavre 75015, Metro - La Motte Picquet from 11 am to 5 pm.
Showings of the exhibition in London and Birmingham in England had also attracted large crowds including British parliamentarians, London-based diplomats, Foreign and Commonwealth Office officials and the Sri Lankan community in England.
The photo-exhibition was arranged by the President's Director of Photography Sudath Silva, and officials of the Presidential Media Unit.
