Sept 23, Colombo: Sri Lanka Ministry of Public Administration and Home Affairs has decided to appoint 300 administrative officials for public services in the Northern and Eastern Provinces.

These officials have been newly recruited for Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS).

Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs W.D.J. Seneviratne will give the appointments for these officials at a ceremony on Monday (24) at the Ministry.

Out of them 88 will be appointed as Assistant Divisional Secretaries in Northern and Eastern Provinces.

The new appointees were selected through a Competitive Examination held in 2010, both in Sinhala and Tamil mediums.
