Sept 23, Colombo: Cargills PLC, which has a super market network under the name Cargills Food City, has entered into an agreement with US based T.G.I Friday's restaurant to be the exclusive franchise in Sri Lanka.
Cargills says they are planning to open the first T.G.I Friday's restaurant in Sri Lanka by the fourth quarter of next year. Cargills already holds the popular KFC franchise in Sri Lanka.
T.G.I Friday's, a unit of the Carlson Companies, operates 990 restaurants in over 60 countries.
Carlson is a privately held global corporation in the leisure industry with the presence in 150 countries operating over 1,300 hotels including all Radisson Hotels.
