* Sri Lanka's striking university lecturers not to participate in discussion on A/Level paper grading
Sun, Sep 23, 2012, 05:15 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Sept 23, Colombo: The striking university lecturers in Sri Lanka say they would not participate in the discussion scheduled to be held tomorrow (24) on the grading of this year's GCE Advanced Level examination papers.

The Federation of University Teachers' Association (FUTA) says it would not participate in any A/level paper grading until the demands of the striking university lecturers are met.

The Examinations Department has invited the striking university lecturers to discuss the marking of A/Level examination papers, which has been delayed due to the academics' strike since July 4th.

FUTA Secretary Dr. Terrence Madujith has said the university lecturers would not participate in any discussion and would continue with the strike until their demands are met.
