Oct 24, Colombo: The Higher Education Ministry of Sri Lanka has sought suggestions from university academics including vice chancellors on the leadership training programme for university students.
Higher Education Ministry Secretary P.J. Jayasinghe in a statement has called on the university academics to e-mail their suggestions and criticisms on the leadership training programme.
He has stated that the communications should reach the Ministry on or before October 30th.
According to the Ministry, all university academics including vice chancellors have been e-mailed a tutorial in all three languages on the leadership training programme and they have been asked to forward their comments.
The Ministry expects to commence the leadership training for the new students entering the universities on November 15.
The program, which aims to provide leadership training and enhance positive attitude in students, will cover subjects of Sri Lanka's future vision and global changes, the processing of a strategic living plan and reaching the long term objectives, physical training, first aid, leadership qualities and common law.
