Oct 05, Mannar: A Sri Lankan court has further remanded the suspects involved in the attack on Mannar Magistrate's Court and threatening the Mannar Magistrate.
The judge specially appointed to hear the case, Panadura Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake presiding at the Mannar Magistrate Court, has further remanded the 42 suspects when the case was taken up for hearing at the Mannar Magistrate's Court.
The suspects were ordered to be remanded till October18th.
The Judge has also ordered Industries and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiyutheen to appear in Court on November 20th.
Bathiudeen has been accused of threatening the Mannar Magistrate Anthonypillai Judeson over a judgment given by him to arrest persons who had allegedly attacked some fishing huts in the Mannar area.
The Minister is charged with allegedly threatening the magistrate over the phone to instigate violence against the courts if the order was not revoked.
