Oct 01, Colombo: Sri Lanka's major Tamil political party, the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) says the agenda for discussions with the Indian government was likely to be received this week.

A delegation of TNA representatives are to travel to India on the 10th of this month following an invitation extended by New Delhi.

TNA parliamentarian M.A. Sumanthiran said the talks were likely to center around the political solution to the ethnic issue.

Once the agenda is received, the TNA's parliamentary group is to meet to discuss the party's stance and approach on the issues.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa during his recent visit to India requested the Indian government to put pressure on the TNA to get the party involved in the reconciliation process.
