Nov 02, Colombo: Sri Lanka police established the Inspector General's Help Desk yesterday (November 01) at the police headquarters.
The Help Desk aims to provide a more efficient service to the public, says the police spokesman Senior Superintendent of Police Prishantha Jayakody.
The unit, established according to a concept of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) N.K. Ilangakoon, will assist the public round the clock to provide information regarding the services of police and also about the investigations.
The unit will provide information and contact details of the officials providing the expected services.
IG's Help Desk, which comes under direct purview of the IGP can be reached by telephone from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. at 0112444480, 0112444481 and 0112444482.
