Nov 01, Colombo: A special children's court in Sri Lanka has postponed issuing a directive on banning porn websites by two weeks.
The National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) has informed the special child court in Battaramulla that it had identified 51 porn websites that feature young girls and boys, sometimes even in school uniforms.
The NCPA has called on the court to issue a directive to ban these porn websites in the country.
However, when the case was taken up for hearing Wednesday, the judge presiding in the case has said the court had not yet received the observations from the Attorney General's Department.
The case was therefore postponed by two weeks until the Attorney General's observations are received.
