* Sri Lanka holds Asia Pacific e-Government conference tomorrow in Colombo

July 17, Colombo: Asia Pacific's longest running e-Government conference this year will open tomorrow in the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo.

The FutureGov Summit SAARC 2012 Organised by FutureGov, Asia Pacific's leading public sector modernization magazine and the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka (ICTA) will be held from July 18-19 at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel in Colombo.

According to the organizers, the FutureGov Summit SAARC 2012 takes a comprehensive look at the issues at the heart of information management for the Sri Lankan public sector.

The FutureGov Forum, which has been a critical nexus for public sector IT buyers and solutions providers to learn from one another, will bring together a group of unparalleled international speakers comprising government leaders, experienced practitioners and industry experts, to deliver a balanced mix of real-life best practice case studies, expert presentations and interactive panel discussions.

This forum will cover the strategies on how to align technology investment with agency priorities – to create necessary infrastructure and establish the enabling environment for the implementation of e-government services, thus, creating an effective and efficient e-Governance.
