July 13, Colombo: The Sri Lankan government has decided to increase the fee charged when issuing fresh licenses to overseas job recruiting agencies.

The license fee has now been increased from Rs.100,000 to Rs.200,000.

According to the government, the increased fee would be charged when issuing fresh licenses.

Meanwhile, the annual renewal fee of an agency license has also been increased from Rs.10,000 to Rs.50,000.

The government says these measures have been made to ensure the standards of the overseas recruitment agencies in the country.
