Aug 22, Colombo: Sri Lanka's national career Sri Lankan has announced special discounts for students leaving the island for education in destinations like UK, Germany, Italy, France, Malaysia, Singapore, China, India and Russia.

Accordingly, the students can enjoy a special 5% discount on their first online air ticket purchased for travel between the home country and the country of study.

They can enjoy a 10% discount for all subsequent online purchases of tickets, the airline says. The parents of those students too are to be entitled to the latter discount.

SriLankan has also offered the students extra baggage allowance of 10Kg when they travel between the home country and country of study.

A student who wants to enjoy the benefit valid until the end of March 2013 is asked to register with the Airline and enroll with its frequent flyer programme FlySmiLes.
