Aug 09, Colombo: India's Janatha Party leader Subramanian Swamy who is attending the 'Defence Seminar 2012' in Colombo, called on Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa today (09) at the Temple Trees.
Swamy, a strong supporter of Sri Lanka also met the Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and External Affairs Minister G L Peiris earlier.
The Indian leader, an outspoken critic against the pro-Eelam Tamil parties in Tamil Nadu, had urged the Indian government not to support the 'one-sided' UN resolution against Sri Lanka at the UNHRC in March this year.
Swamy is scheduled to address the defence seminar tomorrow.
Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga, and Secretary to the External Affairs Ministry Karunathilaka Amunugama, also participated in the discussion.
