Nov 30, Colombo: Sri Lanka's Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) has held an investor forum in Singapore yesterday (29) in a bid to attract the fund managers and investors based in Singapore.
The bourse in a statement said it successfully concluded a strong pitch for the investors at the forum titled "Invest Sri Lanka".
The Governor of Sri Lanka's Central Bank Ajith Nivard Cabraal has delivered the keynote address at the forum organized by the CSE in association with the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Singapore and held at the Ritz Carlton Millennia.
In his address, Cabraal has highlighted the potential of Sri Lanka as a fast developing investment destination to about 150 fund managers and investors who attended the forum.
Chairman of CSE, Krishan Balendra has illustrated the growth and the potential of the CSE to the keen audience.
"The sessions were received with much enthusiasm resulting in an overwhelming response to CSE's investment opportunities," the CSE statement said.
The CSE says it will continue showcasing the potential of the market and its opportunities to fund managers and investors globally in an effort to attract more foreign investment to Sri Lanka.
