* Sri Lankan government to inform international community of findings of LLRC report

Nov 23, Colombo: The Sri Lankan government has taken steps to educate the diplomatic community about the report of the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC).

The External Affairs Ministry said it has already commenced the initial work with regard to informing the diplomatic community about the LLRC report.

Deputy External Affairs Minister Neomal Perera has said the government would take steps to publish the report in order to make the people aware of the findings of the Commission.

He has noted that the government did not have any intention of keeping contents of the report a secret.

According to Perera, the government is to take more measures in the future to educate the international community about the findings and recommendations of the report.

Sri Lankan President has said that he will present the report to the parliament to make it a public document.
