July 03, Medawachchiya: Sri Lanka's major Tamil party Tamil National Alliance legislator. P. saravanapavan met with an accident in the early hours of today as he was travelling to Kilinochchi to participate in a function.

The driver of the MP's vehicle lost control of the vehicle when he swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle hit a tree on the roadside near Sangilikanadarawa of A-9 road close to Medawachchiya.

A security officer of the MP was injured in the accident and admitted to Anuradhapura hospital. The MP however has escaped the accident unharmed.
