Dec 05, Colombo: In its drive to curb the vile in the country, Sri Lanka police today raided a super brothel in Colombo.
Hard Crime Investigation Bureau of Sri Lanka police that conducted the raid with 30 officials said the brothel was run in the seventh and eighth floors of a super market building. It has maintained a security system and two lifts for the benefit of the customers.
Police arrested three Sri Lankans and two Uzbek women from the place with currency valued Rs. 300,000. Ten persons including the madame that ran the place escaped arrest, police say.
The police conducted the raid under a warrant issued by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Court. The suspects and the material are to be produced in court.
