Sept 10, Colombo: A Japanese delegation led by member of the House of Councillors in the Diet and member of the Democratic Party of Japan, Odachi Motoyuki, Secretary General of the Japan Sri Lanka parliamentarians Friendship league called on President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Temple Trees on Thursday.

The delegation held a lengthy discussion with Minister Basil Rajapaksa on conducting a tourism promotion programme on Sri Lanka in Japan.

The Japanese delegation was impressed with the large scale development projects in Sri Lanka and discussed the investment opportunities for Japanese investors in Sri Lanka.

Ministers Susil Premajayantha, Geethanjana Gunawardena, Deputy Ministers Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Naveen Dissanayake, Secretary to the President Lalith Weerathunge, and Sunil Gamage were also present.
